Applications N/A Shell Gadus S1 OG 1600 is recommended for open gears, sliding surfaces of drag lines, construction and dredging equipment, chain and sprocket lubrication, or other applications where high viscosity adhesive products are required. N/A For Heavily Loaded Applications such as Open Gears and Journal Bearings - Shell Gadus S2 OG Clear Oil 6800 can be applied in lubrication equipment previously used for bitumastic lubricants (e.g. Farval, Wakefield, Tecalamit, Lincoln, etc.). The viscous oil nature of the lubricant allows it to be gravity fed into sugar mill centralized lubricators if required. The high viscosity of Shell Gadus S2 OG Clear Oil 6800 has been achieved by combining synthetic thickeners and high viscosity mineral oils. The use of synthetic thickeners has also produced a lubricant with high viscosity index, which helps to provide good pumpability at low temperatures while maintaining high viscosity at elevated temperatures. The high viscosity base oils are combined with extreme pressure additives to give a lubricant with very high film strength and load carrying performance needed for the protection of sugar mill brass bearings and rollers.  N/A Pumpability - Shell Gadus S2 OG Clear Oil 20000 can be applied in lubrication equipment previously used for bitumastic lubricants (e.g. Farval, Wakefield, Tecalamit, Lincoln, etc.). The viscous oil nature of the lubricant allows it to be gravity fed into sugar mill centralized lubricators if required.  N/A Molub-Alloy OG 8031 is designed to lubricate heavily loaded open gears, screw type actuators, and low to moderate velocity bushings and bearings equipped with centralised or sump type lubrication systems.

This Range is recommended for use in open gear applications in cement, mining and any other industries requiring anti-scuff and anti-wear protection, and where no product build up is desired. It is also suited for units containing bushings, bearings and/or gears where ISO 2200, 3000 or 6000 viscosity grade lubricant is required, but straight fluid lubricams leak out.

Features and Benefits N/A Excellent Extreme Pressure Properties - Allows maximum load transmission while protecting gear teeth and other machine elements in particular under boundary lubrication conditions.

Very High Adhesive Characteristics - Once the diluent has evaporated, the lubricant builds an adhesive high-strength consistent film ensuring protection of gear teeth even under hard operation/weather conditions. The lubricant can easily be cleaned up with solvents.

Excellent Anti-Wear Performance - Long interval between maintenance schedules.

Good Low Temperature Properties - Can be pumped at low temperatures without the risk of plugging feed lines or nozzles. The product remains flexible, retains its adhesive properties and will not crack or flake off gear teeth.
N/A
  • High viscosity which provides higher film strength and lower tendency for squeeze out in high loaded and slowly rotating sugar mill brass bearings and rollers.
  • Help protect equipment by resisting water and washout due to the high viscosity and tenacity of the lubricant.
  • Excellent load carrying performance provides excellent brass bearing wear protection.
  • Suitable for application via lubrication equipment previously used to apply bitumastic lubricants.

Extreme Pressure Performance - The high viscosity base oils are combined with extreme pressure additives to give a lubricant with very high film strength and load carrying performance needed for the protection of sugar mill brass bearings and rollers.

Improved Protection - Very high viscosity for greater film strength and lower tendancy to squeeze out in highly loaded and slowly rotating sugar mill brass bearings and rollers.

Protect Equipment Better - Resists water and juice washout due to the very high viscosity and tenacity of the lubricant.

Prolong Equipment Life - Excellent load carrying performance provides superior brass bearing wear protection and maintains normal bearing temperatures during extreme operating conditions.

Ease of Use and Disposal - Suitable for application via lubrication equipment previously used to apply bitumastic lubricants. Reduce disposal problems associated with bitumen containing lubricants.

N/A In order to minimise potential incompatibilities when converting to a new grease, all previous lubricant should be removed as much as possible prior to operation. During initial operation, relubrication intervals should be monitored closely to ensure all previous lubricant is purged. N/A
  • Formulated to minimise distribution line plugging tendency – minimises the potential for eventual plugging of the lubricant distribution lines commonly associated with conventional greases
  • Readily pumpable and slumpable for good lubricant distribution – good lubricant distribution in enclosed and semi-enclosed applications, and drainable for ease of removal from surrounding guards
  • Specifically formulated to flush contaminants from gear and pinion flanks, and to resist accumulation in the roots of gear teeth
  • Highly thixotropic – exhibits a stable form at rest but becomes a fluid when agitated therefore will not run off the gear teeth. However, it will still spread easily and evenly since the gel-like lubricnant liquefies when pressure is applied, carrying away both heat and contaminants
  • Formulated to address environmental concerns - free of solvents, lead, antimony and Barium

Additional Information N/A Operating Temperatures - The minimum operating temperature ranges from -10 C with a maximum range up to 95 C.  N/A Seal & Paint Compatibility - Compatible with elastomers, gaskets, seals and paints normally used in the sugar mill industry.
