Product Catalog

Shell GadusRaul S3 AAR AL 1.5 is a long life grease specifically formulated to meet the Association of American Railroads (AAR) Specification M-942-2012. It features a lithium/calcium mixed soap thickener in an all HVI paraffinic mineral base oil system combined with a high performance additive package. Shell GadusRail S3 AAR AL 1.5 is also formulated to meet Timken's standard for Dynamic Mechanical Stability. It gives exceptional mechanical stability, even at elevated temperatures.

The high quality additive system is designed specifcally for the grease to be used in railroad axle journal roller bearings, which are designed not to be lubricated in the field, including those in the newer more heavily loaded double stocked container cares. The additive system also promotes superior protection against oxidation.
